spyritual

spyritual first made a sound when a 12 year old finnish boy juha tuukkanen discovered making music with machines. after many years of writing and producing with other artists, he began to work on solo studio projects and it was not long before his material began to bear fruit. meanwhile in northern finland, a girl called terhi koivisto was singing at summer camps and developing her self-expression as a singer. by the age of 18 she had been involved as a lead vocalist in different local live-bands ranging musically from funk to ethnic. it was then in helsinki that she was introduced to juha and spyritual was born.

spyritual – wall of soul
yes, they’re from the north, from some beautiful and contrasting place where you find the common legend that people don’t talk much, but mostly keep to themselves. like learning a new language. this one sounds finish, moody jazz and electronic modes, open hearts and some bliss. what is this music like? mmmh… how about strawberries and twisted angels.
