codec & flexor - killermachine

their second album with the unambiguous title killermachine. this title may sound brutal, but it is everything but raw if it comes to the content. it promises what is implied metaphorically by the title: hits that dance on the thin line between mainstream and club orientated electro-pop without ever loosing their balance. it is by no means offbeat to say that new wave left some traces. this album is not afraid of references to depeche mode, human league or even gary numan within the context of todays electronic pop music. “do what you want” climbs out of the depth with an electro–bassline that makes you sweat and develops to the ultimate club hit. it is going to be pre-released with some top-class remixes as the first 12inch on the clubable kitty-cuts 12inch series. in february “i’ll be gone” will be released on the kitty-yo compilation “cuts & pieces” and it will certainly get its attention outside of the clubs. the same can be said of the electro-pop number as such “surface of sorrow”. it is dedicated to the late christian morgenstern and draws the cold from the sorrow with warm vocals and electro-synthie surfaces and immortalizes his memory. with “killermachine” codec & flexor deliver several songs of the kind that guarantee a live experience that will set fire to the clubs and festivals. electro-pop big style.
