“ROSE" is completely free of the “classic Brit-Pop influences" as one could still hear them on the first album. Looking for comparisons you´d be tending more towards tracks by SIGUR ROS, maybe also SIMON and GARFUNKEL or SUEDE.
MAXIMILIAN has become more daring especially with his lyrics, very personal, exposed and denuding they´ve become, poetic and sensual.
with GARETH JONES the right person was found to produce the album. GARETH has worked in the past with DEPECHE MODE, EINSTÜRZENDEN NEUBAUTEN, MOBY, WIRE, GOLDFRAPP, ERASURE and many more, but was capable of approaching MAXIMILIAN´s songs in a very sensible and reserved way.
also live, MAXIMILIAN will have changed. the tour to “ROSE" will not be a solotour anymore, he will be performing . with a 3 piece band, enabling him to capture and represent the full dynamics and energy of the album more than adequately in any concerts.
“ROSE" is the first proof for the right way - what a great future in front of him! we´ ll treat this records as a big priority as the album is fantastic ! 10 out of 10 !

Hallo! Soy Argentino, vi a Maximilian y su banda en vivo en Niceto ayer y estuvo genial. Con Barbara Morgenstern. Buenísimos los temas y los ambientes que crea. El baterista un genio. Me sorprendió.

band releasing their best album to date. Like The White
Stripes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Kills, Dirtbomb, Detroit
Cobras and so many more to name. But why do we need so
many of all this that sounds almost alike.

But most importantly, you must have Maximilian Hecker
second full-length „Rose‰ to complete your 2003 record
collection. This is an amazing album of broken hearted
love songs by Maximilan Hecker.
Think Liam Hayes (Plush) meets Rufus Wainwright
re-composing the soundtrack for ŚThe Virgin Suicide‚
and mixed by David Kosten (Faultline). Take the
oppening track ŚKate Moss‚ where i bet you will fall in
love with on your first listen and the single ŚFool‚ is
another stand out track. Other songs like ŚI‚m Falling
Now‚, ŚMy Story‚, ŚMy Friends‚, ŚRose‚ and the rest are
all beautiful. If you are a failure in your love life,
listen to „Rose‰, it could dry your tears and warmth
you heart. AMAZING!

Die infinite love songs haben mich umgehauen .
Ich liebte sie .
Ich hab jetzt schon mehr als nur drei Lieder von ROSE
gehört und ich muss leider sagen , das sie mich nicht mehr so berühren , mehr noch , wirken sie wie ein fader Aufguss des Ersten Werkes .
Wie kann man nur beim zweiten album wieder die gleichen Akkorde und sogar stellenweise den gleichen Text nehmen um das GLEICHE gefühl zu erzwingen ?
Aber wahrscheinlich sehe ich das ganz falsch , . . .zumindest geb ich Feedback, nevermind ,Houl |
